Endrick Felipe: A true generational talent wanted by clubs all over Europe

tennis player

When Real Madrid paid a colossal £37million fee for a relatively unknown player named Vinicius Jr, the footballing world erupted with questions. “Why is Real Madrid paying 45 million euros for a 16-year-old?” was the most common question. However, after two years all the questions have turned into praises. Vini Jr is one of the most important players on the Real Madrid squad. He is a proven match-winner for Real Madrid and a consistent one as well. If Vini Jr was on market currently he would be a part of a deal well worth £100 million at least. In hindsight., this was a good financial investment for Real Madrid. One such up-and-coming player that needs such investment is Flamengo star kid Endrick Felipe.

Endrick is a Brazilian youth player who plays for Palmeiras. Endrick is one of the best young prospects in the world right now. He is a youth payer with a £33 million release clause in his contract. Many European clubs such as Inter Milan, Tottenham Hotspurs, Newcastle, Real Madrid, and PSG have expressed an interest in signing Endrick. Endrick is a pure generational talent drawing comparisons with his idol Cristiano Ronaldo. His tenacity and will can be determined by this quote in which he says:

“I’ll always fight. I’ll be persistent and try until the last minute I’m in the game”.

Endrick is the next big Brazilian star

Scouts and club executives all over Europe are singing praises of Endrick. Like many Brazilians he came from abject poverty and football was the only way out for him. His performance caught the attention of Palmeiras who signed the then eleven-year-old Endrick. Four years later, Palmeiras know that they have a superstar on their hands. Palmeiras’ youth football coordinator Joao Paulo Sampaio said:

“Soon after arriving, he (Endrick) scored a bicycle kick in the first-leg draw with Santos in the under-11 State Championship finals…Each time we’ve challenged him, he’s responded.”

It is clear that Endrick is the next big thing in the football world. However, he cannot sign a professional contract till he turns 18. That’s three years of time remaining for the clubs to woo him to their sides.
