Enzo Fernandez have received an official bid from Chelsea

Chelsea have reportedly submitted an official bid for Enzo Fernandez before the end of the transfer window. The player have received an official bid from Chelsea according to an Italian news outlet. Enzo Fernandez joined Benfica back in the summer of 2018 for a transfer fee of around £8m. Moreover, the player took no time to settle down in the team. He showcased his best form in the Portuguese league. Following his impressive season, he got a call-up from the national team. Fernandez received a call-up for the Qatar World Cup. He was an instrumental player for the Argentinean national team. Enzo Fernandez helped his team to lift the World Cup trophy after 36 years. Therefore following the success, he received the attention of different European clubs. Chelsea are currently leading the race to sign the player. However, Benfica have been reluctant to sell the player this transfer window.

Chelsea have made an official bid for Enzo Fernandez

Graham Potter’s side opened talks with Benfica over a potential deal for the player earlier this month. But the deal collapsed as the Blues were not willing to match Benfica’s valuation for the player. However new reports claim that Chelsea have revived their interest in the player. They are believed to be keen on signing Enzo Fernandez before the transfer window ends. It is reported Chelsea are willing to all their financial resources to strengthen the squad over the next few months. Enzo Fernandez is said to be their top target. Chelsea have reportedly submitted an official bid of around €100m (£88m). They have also offered Hakim Ziyech an exchange to lure Benfica. Chelsea are keen to receive Fernandez’s services this season. They are adamant to bring the midfielder to Stamford Bridge. The midfield have been a problem for the Chelsea squad for quite some time.

They are hoping bringing Fernandez would solve that problem for them. Enzo Fernandez is one of the most desired players in football in recent times. It would be a shrewd business for Chelsea if they manage to receive the signature of the player. However, fans have to wait for that exciting news as Benfica have not yet accepted the offer made by Chelsea.
