Chelsea new signing Enzo Fernandez urges owner Todd Boehly to sign his Argentine compatriot Alexis Mac Allister in the summer.

According to football.london, Fernandez has decided on which midfielder he will like play alongside next season. He also informed Boehly about his wish.

Fernandez has recommended Brighton star Alexis Mac Allister, his Argentine teammate. The No. 20 played an important role in Argentina’s World Cup triumph last year, alongside Fernandez. Both formed a formidable partnership in Qatar which helped them to lift the World Cup trophy for their country.

The 24-year-old has scored seven goals and provided one assist in 26 apperances for Brighton this season. His reputation has grown rapidly in last 12 months.

However, the Seagulls don’t want sell midfielder though. Brighton want keep him in their project for future. They do not want to loose him and therefore put a price tag of £70m on his head.

Chelsea’s recruitment team is planning to strengthen the squad in the summer, especially the central midfield position. Therefore, there is a chance Chelsea will match the price tag of £70m, once the transfer market reopens for Mac Allister.

Fernandez and Mac Allister can form a formidable partnership at Chelsea. Fernandez’s main job will be dictating play from the deep and meanwhile, he would be given the license to move forward and help the forwards to score goals.

Last month, Sergio Aguero described Mac Allister as “very intelligent player”. Meanwhile Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp raved about the Argentine earlier in the year.
