Erik Ten Hag is confident about his future at Manchester United

Manchester United

Manchester United had to face a disappointing Premier League draw versus Burnley last weekend due to a late penalty. The Red Devils were in a winning position till the 86th minute of the game. As a result, it was a very frustrating loss for the fans as well as the players. With the entry of the new minority owner, Sir Jim Ratcliffe, several changes could take place including a managerial change. Although nothing has been said about Ten Hag’s future yet, there are speculations over his future at the club. Additionally, Manchester United did not manage to secure a Champions League spot next season. Therefore, a managerial change is expected soon. Moreover, many managers have been linked as Ten Hag’s replacement, but the United boss feels confident about his future at Manchester United.

Former Manchester United goalkeeper believes Thomas Tuchel could thrive at Old Trafford

Peter Schmeichel was seen with Sir Jim Ratcliffe at Stamford Bridge last month. The former United goalkeeper has been talking about a manager who could do well at Old Trafford. Schmeichel said that Thomas Tuchel could succeed at Manchester United. Moreover, the Bayern Munich manager is going to leave the club this summer.

While talking about Tuchel, the former goalkeeper said,

“I like Thomas Tuchel. I have had the pleasure of interviewing him a couple of times. His football knowledge is fantastic. I think he has been a little bit unlucky with being at two big football clubs at the wrong time of their history, at times when things were not working at every level.”

Schmeichel further said that if Manchester United are looking for a new manager, they should not keep Tuchel out of their list. However, there is no firm decision taken about Ten Hag’s future yet.
