Erling Haaland has reportedly demanded 30 million in wages per year if any club wants to get his signature next summer. The Norwegian forward without a doubt is the most highlighted player referring to next summer transfer market with top clubs lining up. While as per reports, Haaland will be available for a cheap price of £69 million which is written in his Dortmund contract.
However, despite his cheap price, Haaland has high demands in terms of wages, which has to be fulfilled by the interested clubs. Several reports suggest that the youngster would like to be splashed with a £500,000 million per week wage. Which would turn into a massive £30 million bill per year.
That’s not all about Haaland’s demands as his agent Mino Raiola will be also hoping to get some cash from his super client. The report also suggests that super-agent Raiola would be taking a massive amount of brokerage fees in order to strike a deal for Haaland. Following all this it does not look like Erling Haaland will be available for a less price.
Borussia Dortmund currently are trying hard to keep their star striker for more years, but Haaland less is interested to stay. The forward was close to leaving this summer with Chelsea offering a whopping price but Dortmund rejected the bid. However, next summer it would be a different story than this one. If Dortmund really wants to extend Haaland’s stay then they should try offering a high earing contract.
Which club can afford Haaland’s high wages?
Currently, there is a huge line of clubs that are looking for the possibility of getting their hands on the current and future football star. Among the list we have Chelsea, Manchester City, Real Madrid, and more, but not all could be sharing one player. Following which it means only one club would the lucky one who would see Haaland in their jersey.
From the Premier League, we have Chelsea, Manchester United, and Manchester City in the race for Haaland. And all the clubs could surely handle Haaland’s big wage demand of £30 million dollars per year. While in Spain we have Real Madrid who are keen to bring on Haaland and Kylian Mbappe to their squad to make it a world-class team. In France, we have Paris Saint-Germain who would be looking for a replacement for Mbappe next summer. And all these clubs are more than capable to fund Haaland’s wage demands.
But now we have a new club joining the Haaland race, Newcastle United, the current richest club in the world. But it is doubtful if the forward will like to join the Magpies next summer. However, the club could certainly meet his demands or may agree to more. So, let’s wait and see what’s future holds for Erling Haaland.
