ESPN pundit Craig Burley believes that Kai Havertz will not be anywhere near in the starting XI at Liverpool. Burley also said that Havertz will not be in the starting squad of Man City, Newcastle United or Liverpool. The German international is under heavy criticism since his move to The Emirates Stadium. He has not delivered anything big so far for Arsenal. The Gunners signed Havertz from Chelsea this summer for a humongous sum of £65 million. Though, many claimed to have not understood the intent of Arteta behind the signing. Arsenal went for the German while many other established midfielders were still there in the market.

However, the Spanish manager was adamant on signing the 24-year old and got him for such a huge fee. Now, owing to his poor display, Havertz is under the target of many pundits and critics. Burley has also become the one in the list saying no side would win the Premier League with the German. He told ESPN,

“Kai Havertz cannot play in the middle of the park for a side going for the Championship.

He wouldn’t get into Liverpool’s side in the midfield, he certainly wouldn’t get into Manchester City’s midfield, he wouldn’t get into Newcastle’s side in midfield.

“So why the hell is he in Arsenal’s side?!”

Though, it can be argued that Arteta has played him at left-side role which is not his favoured position. Moreover, he looked much dangerous on the right flank against the Magpies. However, his best position is up front on the field. Arsenal are without Jesus and Nketiah is also a doubtful one for Sevilla game. Therefore, Arteta can deploy Havertz in the forward role to have the best out of him.
