Arsenal wonderkid Ethan Nwaneri might leave the Emirates and join Premier league rivals Manchester United or Chelsea this summer.

Nwaneri recently broke the record of the Premier League’s youngest ever player, aged 15 years and 181 days. He came on as a substitute during Arsenal’s 3:1 victory over Brentford in September.

The teenager’s schoolboy registration ends this month and it remains unclear wheather he will sign a new contract. Nwaneri might move away from the Emirates this summer.

Premier clubs such as Manchester United, Chelsea and Manchester City wants to sign the teenager this summer, if he decides leave Arsenal in the summer.

Nwaneri has picked up 17 caps of England’s U-17 team. He has also stated for Arsenal in 5:1 defeat to West Ham United in FA Cup Youth Final.

According to The Athletic, Chelsea, City and United are closely monitoring Nwaneri’s current situation. After loosing Omari Hutchinson to Chelsea last summer, Arsenal might again loose another academy product.

Manager Mikel Arteta shared his views after he gave Nwaneri the nod against Brentford in September. He said :-

“We have the opportunities to bring young players on. We are pretty short and opportunities come when issues arise. It was a pure gut feeling.

“I met the boy, I really liked what I saw. He trained with us a couple of times. I had that feeling yesterday that if the opportunity could come, I would do it. Nwaneri deserves it. He has been doing great. He is such a big talent we want to keep with us.”
