As team India gets ready for Pakistan game, Sanjay Bangar thinks Virat Kohli is ready for it. India to take on Pakistan on 10th September. Ex-RCB coach talks about Virat Kohli’s preparation for the game.

Sangar Bangar has high praises for Kohli for his preparation. He also shed light on how the star-Indian batter came out from lean patch. He highlighted the technical adjustments Kohli made in his game. Specifically his approach to staying still and allowing the ball to come to him. This change is particularly helpful when facing Shaheen Shah Afridi’s late swing.

Bangar says,

He is setting up really nice and early, staying still, allowing the ball to come to him. That is one aspect which is going to help him big time, especially against Shaheen Shah Afridi because he gets the ball to swing in late. And if we are watching the ball, letting it come to you, you can actually play it down the ground or play it to mid-on or mid-wicket region; that is where his strength is,”

Bangar also talked about Kohli’s game-plan against spin

In recent times, Virat Kohli seems to have problems against spin. His average and strike-rate against spin indicates his struggle. However, former Indian team batting coach, Sanjay Bangar is confident about Kohli’s game plan.

The 50-year old Bangar says,

Against the spinners, he has his own methods of scoring runs. Against Shadab Khan, he will look to rock onto the back foot, play between point and cover region, a lot on the back foot. Against Mohammad Nawaz, he will look to use his feet because he is not afraid of doing that,”

All the Indian cricket fans will be hoping to see Virat Kohli masterclass once again. Everyone still remembers his legendary knock against Pakistan in the T20 WC 2022. Those two sixes on the bowls of Haris Rauf is inched in everyone’s memory.
