Arsenal may be in search of a replacement for their goalkeeper woes. The Gunners signed David Raya on loan from Brentford this season and he has really impressed everyone. Hence, it seems inevitable that Arteta will look to make the loan move into a permanent one.

Their current shot stopper Aaron Ramsdale’s career is still in jeopardy with the club as he has fallen in the pecking order. He will be looking forward for a move to a club where he can be getting playing minutes. If the situation remains the same, Arsenal may be forced to cash out the English international. This will create a void for the second choice goalkeeping option. One of the rumours are suggesting a return of Wojceich Sczesney back to the Emirates. However, his time with Italian club Juve Turin is still not having a green light.

Who Arsenal can sign as goalkeeper replacement?

Speaking on Daily Briefing for CaughtOffside, Fabrizio Romano reports that Arsenal will definitely bring in a keeper to provide cover for David Raya. He said,

“With Aaron Ramsdale’s future in doubt, Arsenal will also 100% bring in a new backup goalkeeper this summer. One name being mentioned is former Gunners ‘keeper Wojciech Szczesny.

But my understanding is that Szczesny has not clarified his situation with Juventus at this stage. Juventus like Monza goalkeeper Di Gregorio but nothing is decided yet, so also for Szczesny it’s all quiet so far.”

The Poland international had a decent spell during his time at North London and can be a fair business if ge returns. Though, a keeper of his quality will have interests from other clubs as well. It will be interesting to see what will be the future with Juve in the coming weeks. It just remains to be seen how keen he’d be on a second spell at AFC, and if they really want him back or have other options in mind for that role.
