Chelsea might look to sign Ez Abde in the summer transfer window. The Barcelona player is currently on a loan to another Spanish team. According to Spanish reports, Osasuna will be looking to extend the player’s loan spell with them. But it is unlikely for them to succeed as the player have now captured the attention of Chelsea. Ez Abde spent his formative years in different Spanish Leagues before he graduated from Hercules CF Academy. The player joined Barcelona back in 2021. However, it took him some time to debut as a first-team player. But with Barcelona signing a few strikers in the summer transfer window, Abde’s importance was decreased in the club. Therefore it was hardly surprising when Barcelona loaned Ez Abde to Osasuna last summer. The youngster have since then enjoyed a solid season at the club. And hence have caught Chelsea’s eye with his performance.

Ez Abde enjoyed a solid season so far at Osasuna. He registered one goal and two assists to his name in 17 appearances. The player’s progress at the club compelled them to consider extending his loan stay. However, that seems unlikely with the escalating interest in Ez Abde. Abde’s growth at the Spanish club have caught the eyes of the Premier League giants Chelsea. But the interest from Chelsea seems a bit perplexing. As they recently bolstered their attack this January transfer window. Todd Boehly have invested in several attacking players namely, Raheem Sterling, Mykhaylo Mudryk, and Noni Madueke. Therefore it is unclear as to how another winger would fit into their new scheme. Chelsea should prioritize signing a top-class striker in the summer. But Abde have prompted an interest from the Blues. Therefore they could look into doing business with Barcelona for the player.
However, it is unclear if Barcelona would be interested to sell Ez Abde. They might not be open to selling the player in the summer transfer window. But Barcelona could potentially recoup a hefty amount from the sale of the player amid the Chelsea interest.
