Napoli and Spanish central midfielder Fabian Ruiz is set to join PSG this summer. Fabrizio Romano has confirmed that PSG are very close to complete a deal for Ruiz. Fabian Ruiz has a contract till 2023 with the club. With a year left on his contract and little hope for an extension, Napoli have placed him on the transfer list this summer. PSG and Napoli were holding talks for several weeks for the player and now, the clubs have reached an agreement for the player.

Ruiz joined Napoli on 2018 on a five-year contract with a transfer fee of €30 million. He has played 125 games with Napoli and he has raked up 18 goals for the club. Moreover, he was instrumental in Napoli winning the Coppa Italia during the 2019-20 season. He is an integral part of the Spanish national team as well. He has even managed to score a goal in his 15 appearances for his country.

Fabian Ruiz is a good reinforcement for the midfield

Leandro Paredes is set to depart PSG to join Juventus this season. Initially, PSG intended Milan Skrinar to be his replacement. However, as things stand, no talks are finalized with the player. Gianluca Scammaca was another player wanted by PSG. However, he signed for West Ham United this season. Now, PSG have finally agreed on terms with Napoli midfielder Fabian Ruiz. According to Footmercato, PSG have offered a five-year contract with a salary of 5 million euros per season to the player. The same report states that the transfer fee is likely to be 25 million euros.

If the deal is successful, Ruiz will be PSG’s sixth signing of the transfer window. The Parisians have signed Renato Sanches, Vitinha, Nuno Mendes, Mukiele, and Ekitike this summer. However, the transfer window is not over yet as PSG still want to sign a striker and a center-back this summer.
