Chelsea are linked with former Spanish coach Luis Enrique for replacing struggling Graham Potter. Fabrizio Romano shared his views on the matter in his exclusive CaughtOffside column.

However, Romano also claims that Enrique is not in talks with any club yet, but admits the fact that the Spanish tactician is eager to get back to his duties. He left his position as Spanish head coach after the 2022 World Cup.

Romano further claimed:-

Current Premier League Standings

“Luis Enrique is a top coach and it’s normal to see his name around for many jobs. At the moment, he’s not in conversation with any club yet,

“What I can say for sure is that Luis Enrique wants to return as soon as possible after the World Cup and he’d love to be back at work in the next months, he doesn’t want to stop.”

Enrique will be ready to join Chelsea if Potter gets sacked and have his share of experience in Premier league football. According to Sports, the Spaniard has fallen out of contention to be the next Brazil head coach.

Moreover, Chelsea supporters will like Enrique as their new manager as previously he won a treble with Barcelona in the 2014/15 season. He has a win percentage of 61.41% across his coaching career.

Chelsea’s current manager Graham Potter has struggled miserably after joining the club from Brighton last year. With current speculations, he might lose his job at Stanford Bridge. Luis Enrique can potentially be a perfect replacement for Potter. But there are also other big clubs who are eager to get his signature on the paper.
