Journalist Fabrizio Romano claims a concern for Reece James. Chelsea fans will surely be concerned for James after the Romano update. The England international picked up a hamstring injury recently which will sideline him for a while. Now Fabrizio said on Substack that Chelsea are worried about him. The Italian journalist said “make no mistake”, the Blues are concerned about this latest setback. Despite treatment of his hamstring, the muscle is still troubling the full-back.
This is a major setback for the Blues as they will again be without their best player. Though, it is not a surprise for them to receive the news. Whenever the Englishman is back, he is again having some injury concern. It will be interesting to see whether they will go for a treatment or surgery. Nevertheless, fans will hope to get their skipper back as soon as possible. In the Blues’ 4-4 draw with Manchester City just before the last international break, he made an incredible five tackles and recorded an assist. It is the kind of performance that defines James. He is the complete modern-day full-back, able to attack and defend.
Moreover, their another full-back, Marc Cucurella is also out due to injury issue. According to Romano, Cucurella is going to be sidelined until February in another blow to Chelsea. Now, with both James and Cucurella on the bench, Gusto will be the man starting on right-back. For the left side, they can go with Levi Colwill or Maatsen. Besides this, Axel Disasi is also an option for the role. The Argentine used him there against Sheffield United as well.
