Fans spot this Jules Kounde detail at Barca’s club shop

The transfer of Jules Kounde to Barcelona appears to be closer than ever. In the last few hours, Fabrizio Romano gave a “Here we go” to the move. Kounde’s name has also appeared at the official club store.

Barcelona’s new home jersey included the option to print the centre-back’s name. However, the club swiftly took it down from the website. Nevertheless, a few eagle-eyed fans noticed the leak.

Kounde was Chelsea’s target last summer too. However, the Frenchman has always preferred to go to Barcelona. The Blaugrana have finally won the race to get him. It appears likely that the Blues will no longer have the opportunity to sign Kounde after failing to persuade Sevilla to split ways with him a year ago.

Chelsea’s Stance On Kounde

Unsurprisingly, Chelsea are furious with the situation. They already lost Raphina to the Blaugrana earlier in the window, and now Kounde as well. The fact that they had an agreement with Leeds and Sevilla before Barcelona swooped in will hurt as well.

What I can also confirm is that Chelsea are not happy with the situation. They are getting tired [of] waiting. They have been waiting since last Wednesday or Tuesday to receive a green light from Kounde and Sevilla on £55million bid and a five-year deal offered to Jules Kounde.

Nevertheless, the Blues have made some solid additions to their squad. Raheem Sterling and Kalidou Koulibaly are some fantastic players in the prime of their careers. Their addition to Stamford Bridge will surely be a good sign for Chelsea.

Barcelona have a fantastic squad as well now. Jules Kounde can be a part of their backline for the years to come. Araujo and he are two of the most promising defenders in the world, and Culers will be eager to see this partnership blossom.
