FIFA have revealed the nominees for FIFA’s The Best awards 2021. The winners of the awards will be revealed at an online ceremony on 17 January 2022.
These awards feature the best individual talents across football, with the nominee with the most votes getting the Best Men’s Player and Best Women’s Players honour. The fans can vote for their ‘The Best’ choices on FIFA.com. The voting will run until 1 am GMT on December 11, 2021.
The shortlist with the nominees for the FIFA Puskás Award (awarded for the best goal) will be announced at a later stage.
The Best Men’s Player of the Year 2021 nominees
On Monday, November 22, FIFA announced the nominees for this year’s ceremony.
Lionel Messi, Robert Lewandowski and Jorginho are this edition’s favourites for the award. While the likes of N’Golo Kante, Karim Benzema and Romelu Lukaku are also top contenders.
