Sebastian Vettel has announced his retirement from Formula 1 after the end of the 2022 season implying a new driver taking his place.

Four-time world Champion Sebastian Vettel announced his retirement from the sport surprising the whole F1 world. The Legend announced his retirement from the sport following a couple of unsuccessful seasons with the Aston Martin Team.

The 35-year-old German has 53 wins to his name standing third on the all-time GP wins list.

After his retirement, The F1 market becomes open as the question looms of who will replace the 35-year-old for the 2023 season. This ensures, that a new driver will be seen on the grid.

Even if a current driver replaces Vettel, that driver will be replaced too. So, who will be their new teammate of Lance Stroll?

Who will be the new driver in Formula 1 in 2023?

The seat is vacant but there is no proclamation on who will get the seat for 2023 yet. There are few potential drivers who can try to fill the shoes of the Legend.

Speculations of Oscar Piastri replacing Latifi for the 2023 Formula 1 season were made since the start of this season. Williams also have another talented diver in Logan Sargeant. Can one of them fill the seat alongside Lance Stroll?

Nyck de Vries is another driver in the hunt for the same. Aston Martin F1 manager Mike Krack said this about the Dutch Driver:

“Nyck is one of many, many drivers. I’ve known him since the days of Formula E. He’s a nice guy. He’s driven the Williams, he’s driven the Mercedes, so he’s one of the drivers that we consider, but just as we look at others too.”

Surely, a new driver will be seen on the grid for the upcoming season.
