Trevoh Chalobah, a defender for Chelsea, has finally resumed first team training at Cobham. After suffering a hamstring injury during the preseason Chalobah has been sidelined and hasn’t kicked a ball since. However, he might now be ready to give manager Mauricio Pochettino a boost as the season enters its second half.

On a list that also includes Reece James, Wesley Fofana, and Carney Chukwuemeka. The versatile central defender has had a difficult first half of the season.

Recently, French striker Christopher Nkunku, who has made just one league start, suffered a hip injury. And goalkeeper Robert Sanchez has been dealing with a knee issue. Also, Marc Cucurella is out for the next three months. The situation surrounding Chalobah s return is intriguing. As he has been one of the players that has been linked with an exit. With Nottingham Forest reportedly leading the way, his newly discovered fitness may rekindle interest.

Chelsea, however, released a list of players still working their way back. That said the 24-year-old was “continuing to undergo his rehabilitation programme“.

Chelsea’s first choice right-sided center-half is still the seasoned Thiago Silva, who continues to play above his years, and Axel Disasi, who has grown to be the manager’s favorite, starts in nearly every game.

While Levi Colwill, who made an impact as a center-half at Brighton, has primarily been used as a left back, Benoit Badiashile has been in and out of the squad.

Ahead of the club’s Carabao Cup first-leg match against Middlesbrough. Chalobah shared a message on social media:  “I am healed in Jesus name.
