Fulham will be looking to bounce right back from their defeat last week as they host Peterborough at the Craven Cottage in the Championship. Peterborough agonizingly lost their previous encounter back in November of last year. The then home side had no reply to Alexander Mitrovic’s headed goal in the 74th minute.
The two sides have only faced each other two times in the modern Football era. Fulham have got the better of the Posh on both occasions.
The Cottagers have hit a stumbling block recently as Huddersfield ended their seven-game unbeaten run in the league. Despite their loss, they remain at the top of the table with 64 points. Chasing them are Bournemouth with 58 points and a game in hand over the league leaders.
Marco Silva’s side has been nothing short of brilliant this season with their main man Mitrovic in red hot form. Mitrovic is the top scorer in the league scoring 31 goals already this season. Which is 11 more than 2nd placed Brereton Diaz.

The travelers on the contrary are struggling to steer clear of the relegation zone. They have failed to win any of their last nine league games drawing two games and losing seven. Peterborough lost their last league game to fellow relegation candidates Derby County. Both the teams ended the game with 10 men on the pitch, but Sibley’s 92nd-minute winner put Derby over Peterborough in the relegation race.
As a result, the Posh are now 23rd on the table and equal on points with Derby County, but Wayne Rooney‘s side leads on the table due to their GD. A single point in this game will feel like a win for Peterborough.

Mark Beevers, Dan Butler, Jack Taylor, and Harrison Burrows are all set to miss out on the game due to injuries. Hayden Coulson will be serving his suspension from their defeat against Derby County last week and will play no part in this game. He will be replaced by Bali Mumba between the sticks.
Possible Peterborough starting line-up
Benda; Thompson, Knight, Kent, Mumba; Brown, Fuchs, Norburn; Ward, Clarke-Harris, Grant
Our Prediction
Fulham 3-0 Peterborough
This game should be a walk in the park for the home side. Their loss last week will only encourage them to get all three points this time around. The Cottagers have scored 41 goals in 17 home games this season. This game could turn into another goal galore for them.
To add to that, Peterborough have been disappointing throughout the season. They also have the worst record away from home. The Posh have only managed to get 4 points out of a possible 48. There is little to no chance of Peterborough coming out of Craven Cottage with any points.
