Gabriel Martinelli leaves the Brazil team early after their elimination

Gabriel Martinelli was the first Brazil player to leave the hotel after their knockout from the World Cup. It was most probably to pass up going on the Brazil chartered plane. Gabriel Jesus was not keen on staying post the Brazil elimination and was quick to leave the team. It was reported that CBF had a flight scheduled for Saturday but it looks like Gabriel Martinelli was one of those players to pass up the option. According to reports Real Madrid‘s Vinicius Jr, Eder Militao, Alex Sandro, and Bruno Guimaraes also left the team.

It is presumed that the Brazilian player will be flying to Dubai to reunite with his Arsenal teammates. Arsenal are currently training in UAE for their friendlies against Juventus and Lyon. Gabriel Martinelli’s teammates like Thomas Partey and Matt Turner have already joined their club following their knockout at the World Cup. Though none of the international players have been seen at the training yet. It is just a matter of time before they join in in the training. The hopes Gabriel Martinelli had for a winner’s medal will have been put on hold for at least a few years now. He will have to put his full focus on domestic football as Arsenal tries to win some silverware in the upcoming seasons. Everybody is hopeful that he will come back to the Premier League with a point to prove.

Martinelli’s eagerness to move on has been deemed encouraging by many. There is no confirmation that the player have reunited with the team or gone back to England with his family. Arsenal host West Ham in their first match back in the Premier League after they return from the World Cup. Fans would be hoping that Gabriel Martinelli continues his amazing form even after the World Cup.
