Neville prediction becomes true as Arsenal slips up

Manchester City beat Arsenal 3:1 on Wednesday which helped them to take the top spot in Premier League in the meantime, as Neville prediction becomes true.

Ex-Manchester United player Gary Neville has proved correct as his prediction came true. He earlier stated that the pendulum can swing in the title race. Neville was highly criticized for saying Arsenal might slip up in their title race under the pressure of Man City, which may be the case now.

But Arteta’s side played a game less than the Citizens though there is a drip in their current form. Pep Guardiola’s side are currently sitting at top of the Premier League for the first time since November. De Bruyne, Haaland, and Grealish scored goals against the Gunners at the Emirates Stadium.

NEVILLE EARLIER MENTIONED THAT CITY WILL CAPITALISE ON ANY ERROR

Neville earlier mentioned that City will capitalize on any error made by the Gunners. Speaking earlier this week when Arsenal was clear by 5 points at the top, Neville said:-

“In terms of Arsenal having a big lead currently, we were thinking on Saturday afternoon about how quickly the point difference will change – the lead over Manchester City can change very quickly.

It could happen multiple times between now and the end of the season, where Arsenal will lose, Manchester City will win and then the gap closes quite rapidly. If Manchester City overtakes Arsenal with 5-10 games left to go, they’ll win it by 10 points, but if Arsenal are to win the league, they’ll win it in the penultimate or last game of the season.”

Neville also appeared on Sky Sports Podcast in January and said:-

“At some point, there will be a very difficult period for Arsenal this season. Is it conceivable that Arsenal are going to continue as they are? I don’t think it is.
