According to Journalist Simon Phillips, Chelsea boss Graham Potter has a lot of belief in Kai Havertz and continues to back him.
New Owner Todd Boehly also believes in the 23-year-old attacker and believes that he holds a great future at Stanford Bridge. His form has really improved in recent matches, and Phillips claims that the Chelsea hierarchy are desperate to see him succeed at West London.
Meanwhile, Havertz has scored in recent fixtures against Borussia Dortmund and Leicester City. But at the start of the season, the German international struggled with his form.
Havertz told the Evening Standard and other outlets prior to both matches :-
“If you have a bad day at work… you… I won’t say the word now, but you don’t feel good.
“Football is a game where we have a lot of pressure on our shoulders. We want to make the fans happy and if you don’t make them happy, then you don’t have a good time.”
Chelsea have won three consecutive matches and they are finally getting back to their best. The Blues have gone through a tough patch and still need to buckle up to fight for European spots.
SIMON PHILLIPS SHARES HIS VIEWS ABOUT GRAHAM POTTER AND KAI HAVERTZ
Phillips claims that Potter have always trusted German International, even during the time when he was struggling at Stanford Bridge. The journalist spoke to GiveMeSports:-
“In terms of Graham Potter, he’s got a lot of belief in Kai Havertz. You saw that after the Dortmund game. He went straight over to Havertz, they had a hug and embrace — big smiles from both of them — and you could see there was a relief there.
“Potter has continued to back Kai Havertz, continued to pick him, even in his poor form, and Havertz has appreciated that. The hierarchy, the Chelsea board, they’ve always seen something in Havertz and they’ve been desperate to see that come out.”
