Granit Xhaka’s car stopped after Wolves win on Sunday

Arsenal midfielder Granit Xhaka’s car was stopped by fans as the Serbian gives update about his future speculations.

Xhaka has hinted about his departure from Arsenal will be announced in coming weeks.

The midfielder score twice against Wolves on the final day of the Premier League season on Sunday. Xhaka received standing ovation and the fans chanted ” we want you to stay “.

After the Wolves win, Granit Xhaka’s car was stopped by fans for autographs and he gave hint about his future. AFTV contributer Pippa Monique asked him about his future, Xhaka replied: “You will see next week what happens.”

Xhaka also broke the ice that his wife is not the reason for his move back to the Germany. He said:  “It’s not about the missus.”

Recent reports suggests that his wife Leonita Lekaj wants to return to her native country. Xhaka met his wife while he was playing for Borrusia Monchengladbach in 2016.

Xhaka also spoke about his future before the Wolves clash, he said:-

“How the fans have treated me, I didn’t expect that – but I am thankful for them. I want to give them something back for, maybe, my last game on Sunday.

“I wanted to do something special this season, maybe with a title, but it’s not the time. Let’s see what the future holds.”

Manager Mikel Arteta praised the 30-year-old and said :-

“He’s been exceptional, he’s been a key part of the team and the team’s success and I am so happy that everybody is appreciating what he has done.”
