Former India cricketer Harbhajan Singh gives back to former PCB Chairman Najam Sethi. Sethi took to twitter(X) and accused that India is scared of Pakistan. He said this, while taking a dig at BCCI’s reluctance to change the venue for Super 4’s from Colombo to Hambantota.
The weather in Colombo isn’t too fruitful for a complete game with the forecast of a 90% chance of rain throughout the match. Sethi’s statement didn’t go down well with Harbhajan Singh who asked him what is he smoking these days. He further said that India will beat Pakistan wherever they play them.

The 43-year old Harbhajan Singh in reply to Najam Sethi’s statement said,
“Don’t know what Najam Sethi is smoking nowadays. He says, India does not want to play Pakistan because India is scared. India is never scared to play anyone. Don’t know where this is coming from. They needed to sit with the Asian Cricket Council and see where the tournament is going to be held. Whether the weather forecast was right or not. Boss, come and play us wherever you want, we will beat you,“
However, with previous fixture between India-Pakistan was washed out. ACC faced a lot of bashing from the fans. With over 90% rain predicted on September 10th, there were talk about shifting Super 4 games. Hambantota was zero-inn as a venue. However, both India and Pakistan teams were reluctant to go.
Notably, Indian team were reluctant because of lack of facilities. Lastly, there were no chance in the venue, game will go ahead with an added reserve day in Colombo. Due to this decision, Najam Sethi said ‘India is scared of Pakistan’. To which Harbhajan Singh had a befitting reply to it.
