Former Indian cricket team spinner Harbhajan Singh lauded Rohit Sharma ahead of the second Border-Gavaskar Trophy Test in New Delhi. Harbhajan Singh remembered his first impression of Rohit when they met during the 2007 T20 World Cup, saying that his ‘Mumbaiya style’ set him apart from other players. Harbhajan Singh, who played with Rohit in the Indian Premier League for the Mumbai Indians, praised his captaincy abilities and stated that he is a wonderful person off the field.

“I’ve known Rohit Sharma for quite some time. He made his debut for the squad at the T20 World Cup in South Africa. On the team bus, he used to sit behind my seat. I recall him saying stuff like ‘kaisa hai re tu?’ and ‘kaisa hai shaane?’ in Mumbaiya. “He’s a really kind man,”

Harbhajan remarked in a video posted on his YouTube page.

“When I saw him, I knew he was going to go a long way and become one of the best hitters in the world,” says the coach. We’re all aware of his current status as a batter and captain. He’s a good hitter, but he’s a ten-times better guy,”

he continued.

Rohit Sharma has five IPL championships with the Mumbai Indians

Harbhajan came to an end by saying,

“Rohit Sharma has been the most successful captain in the history of the IPL. There is no bigger captain than MS Dhoni and Rohit Sharma. He has won five trophies, which is a big achievement. Yes, he has always had a good team with him, but the manner in which he leads the team is unbelievable,”

Harbhajan concluded.
