India’s skipper for the Ireland series, Hardik Pandya revealed in his pre-match interview that he wants to play better cricket for India.

Pandya said that they are preparing for the series just like an ICC T20 World Cup game.

The team is not leaving any stone unturned in the preparation of the series.

Pandya said that if India wants to win the trophy this year, they will have to take every T20 match with seriousness.

Just last year, Pandya was not even in contention for an allrounder spot in India’s T20 World Cup squad.

But, this year, we got to see a totally different Hardik Pandya.

He was excellent with both bat and ball, took his team Gujarat Titans to a maiden win and did well in the South Africa series as well.

Pandya said that responsibilities have shaped him into a better player for India.

He also said that he likes giving out responsibilities to other players and in the process increases their confidence as well.

Pandya wants to do the same in the Ireland series.

He also added that the conversations with stand-in head coach VVS Laxman have been positive and they are now emulating the principles put forth by Rohit Sharma and Rahul Dravid.
