Harry Kane might leave Tottenham in the summer transfer window if they fail to finish in the top four of the Premier League. Tottenham Hotspur has been struggling to gain consistency and it is affecting their chances to keep Kane in the club.
Meanwhile, Tottenham’s new manager Antonio Conte has also failed to bring in a lot of good results for the fans to cheer about. His side has struggled to gain any sort of momentum in recent weeks with inconsistent performances week in and week out.
However, Tottenham managed to snatch a brilliant 3-2 win against the Premier League champions Manchester City away at the Etihad Stadium. Conte’s men played brilliantly against the table-toppers, while Harry Kane produced another masterclass performance.
However, Spurs had to face a bigger setback as they lost to Burnley 1:0 at Turf Moor. Still, Tottenham managed to win against Leeds by 4:0 with a dominating display.
However, Conte’s men again had to face another disappointment as they were knocked out of the FA Cup by Middlesbrough. Tottenham failed to break the tough and resilient defense of Middlesbrough. Meanwhile, Middlesbrough managed to score a goal in the 107th minute through Coburn knocking Tottenham out of the FA Cup.
Harry Kane future
After this major upset, journalist Dan Kilpatrick of The Evening Standard spilled some information about Kane’s transfer. As per Dan, Spurs’ latest result throws Kane’s future into ‘further doubt’. Both Kane and Tottenham Hotspur had their eyes on winning the competition but had to face failure. Dan Kilpatrick explained:
“Kane’s long-term future cast into further doubt by Spurs FA Cup exit,
“Kane had made it clear that he would have considered winning the competition under Conte a significant step forward.”
Many Premier League clubs along with various European giants are closely monitoring the situation of the 28-year-old. Moreover, Pep Guardiola repeatedly attempted to sign the Englishman last summer. But the move didn’t materialize.
As a result, Manchester City are likely to grab the opportunity to sign Kane in the upcoming summer transfer window.
After a slow start, Kane has gradually regained his best form. Even, Manchester United has now become linked with a potential summer move.
If Spurs fail to manage good consistent results and finish the season strongly, then there will be a huge uncertainty on Kane’s future. So, only time will tell if he will remain in north London for another season or push to leave the club.
