United Defender Harry Maguire is set to miss FA Cup Semifinal draw against Brighton due to suspension.

Manchester United came from behind to progress to the FA Cup semifinals. The Red Devils beat Fulham by 3:1 scoreline on Sunday at Old Trafford. Bruno Fernandez grabbed a brace and new signing Marco Sabitzer scored his first goal for United. Ten Hag’s side will now face Brighton in semifinals at Wembley.

Maguire had a nervy start against Fulham but GK David De Gea showed some fine shot-stopping to save the day. In the process of trying to contain Fulham, the No. 5 saw a yellow card for a blatant foul in the first-half. This was his second consecutive caution.

According to FA Cup Rules, players who have been booked in two consecutive matches are suspended for the next round of competition. Hence, Maguire will miss the semi-final draw at Wembley.

Maguire is having a horrid season and this will add more salt to the wound. The 30-year-old already missed the Carabao Cup final. However United won the match and lifted the trophy.

Maguire started just five times in the Premier League this season and there multiple rumours about his exit in the summer. Manager Ten Hag found his preferred CB Duo of Raphael Varane and Lisandro Martinez to start regularly.

The English defender will be hoping that his team will triumph over the Seagulls, which will give them chance to play at the finals. Maguire will hope to play at the finals in June.
