Arsenal’s new signing Kai Havertz performance in the latest MLS All-star Skill Challenge alongside his new teammates goes viral.

The 24-year-old performance in the event was quite shambolic. Ten members of Gunners’ squad including Havertz took part in the series of challenges against MLS opponents ahead of Wednesday’s friendly.

The event took place in Audi Field in Washington DC. While it was ultimately just fun, there was still competative edge to it. Arsenal’s players won the competition after scoring more points overs the course of all challenges which includes Shooting Challenge, Touch Challenge, Cross and Volley Challenge, Passing Challenge, and Crossbar Challenge.

However Havertz, who joined the club from Chelsea for £65 million seen his performance goes viral on social media for all wrong reasons. The German international had a disastrous performance in the Cross and Volley challenge, failing to score goal in a single attempt.

Fans in the crowd and watching online is expecting much more from Havertz. They want to see more quality and skill from the German playmaker.

On the contrary, Florian Balogun impressed everyone as he scored 3 goals in the same Cross and Volley challenge. While DC United Striker Christian Benteke also scored couple of goals for the MLS All-Star Team.

Arsenal fans will be praying that Havertz forgets this misery and gets more clinical in front of goal in coming weeks. His overall performance raised plenty of eyebrows among the supporters.

His new team-mate Aaron Ramsdale is delighted that Gunners signed Havertz this summer. He told Kicker per the Daily Mail :-

“It’s a very good signing.

“Kai already has a lot of experience, he was captain in Leverkusen when he was very young. He’s an international player, has won the Champions League and scored in important games.

“ However he can play in different positions, which will help the team. He’s also a tall boy, so he can also help with set-piece situations, which shouldn’t be underestimated in modern football.”
