Havertz would prefer to join Bayern Munich over Arsenal this summer

Chelsea forward Kai Havertz would prefer join Bayern Munich over Arsenal this summer, as the Gunners dealt a huge blow in their pursuit.

According to 90mins, Arsenal have held initial talks with both Havertz’ agent and Chelsea about a possible move. The German will move out of Stanford Bridge in the summer transfer window.

Havertz is one of many players to have a tough year at Chelsea this past season. He struggled to perform under three different manager last season.

However, the German appears to attracting lots of interest this summer. Top clubs such as Real Madrid and Bayern Munich are currently monitoring him.

As per 90mins, Real have backed away over Blue’s huge asking price. But Arsenal and Bayern are still in the race for Havertz.

Chelsea wants £70 million for the 24-year-old and they are not ready cover any of his wages to help facilitate the move. Hence, the finances involved in this move can block Arsenal’s hopes of a suprise deal.

However, 90mins now reports that Bayern Munich is Havertz’s preferred destination. Bavarian Giants are now in pole position to sign the forward ahead of other big clubs.

Manager Thomas Tuchel rates him highly, as he is a huge fan of his work-rate. Bayern will be perfect destination for the forward.

On the other hand, Arsenal have really benefitted from bringing players from their Rival clubs and Havertz will be a ‘top signing’ for the Gunners. If not, Arteta will look for other possible options in the transfer market.
