How was AFC Bournemouth January Transfer Window?

tennis player

You could be forgiven, Bournemouth fans. For both wanting a break and wanting to get back into the nitty-gritty of EFL games right now.

That’s because the Cherries have had an exceptionally active transfer window. With even more activity in the final 24 hours. As deals were completed and players flocked to the Vitality Stadium in droves. Scott Parker had finalised deals for five different players during the course of the day by the time the window slammed shut.

If you’re a Bournemouth supporter, you can’t complain about the faces he’s brought in. It was fantastic to watch it all unfold for Bournemouth. From the dependable Freddie Woodman to the exciting skill of Todd Cantwell and the goalscoring abilities of Kieffer Moore.

AFC Bournemouth have been active in the window

This is the first one that you can’t argue with. The Cherries were undoubtedly quite busy, especially towards the end of the window. And their signings had everyone – including the neutrals – entertained.

It was difficult to believe the club could pay and lure all of these fantastic players to the Vitality Stadium as name after the name came in yesterday. But kudos to them for recognising areas of need. Scouting the players they desired, and bringing them all to the club. They’ve improved almost every aspect of the game, from goal to attack. And it should help them both this year and in the future.

At the very least, considering the players on paper, you’d have to say it’d be a successful window for them. I think the true test of whether the window was a success or not will come at the end of the campaign. But based on the names they’ve attracted, you can’t argue they could have done much better.

You’d have to imagine that a player like Todd Cantwell. Who has starred for Norwich in this division and appears to be a great talent, will come in and single-handedly get results for the Cherries. That’s not even taking into account Kieffer Moore, who may thrive in this Bournemouth side given the opportunities available. He has the ability to score in double figures, and he joins Dom Solanke, who has already scored 18 goals in the league this season.
