How will the new Chelsea lineup look with rumoured signings

Chelsea fans went through a rough start of their transfer window as they are yet to make new additions to their squad to aid Thomas Tuchel for pre-season.

The club management under the new owner Todd Boehly is ready to back Thomas Tuchel in this summer transfer window. Also, this could be a vital window for the West London club as there will be movement both ways.

Also, the new takeover would provide Chelsea a war chest to spend this summer. Reports are claiming that the amount could be as high as £200 million. Tuchel will now need to spend that money to improve his squad as there will be plenty outgoings this term. We will now look at the six signings who could improve Chelsea and will also try to draw a challenging starting 11.

New Chelsea predicted lineup with rumoured signings

Goalkeeper: Edouard Mendy

With no goalkeeping prospect that Chelsea would like to sign, the Senegalese keeper will once again keep his starting spot. He arrived for a fee of around £22 million and will start ahead of Kepa Arrizabalaga.

Defenders: Matthijs de Ligt, Jules Kounde, Thiago Silva

Rudiger and Christensen already left the club ahead of the next season. Azpilicueta will potentially depart as well. Rumours say that Chelsea are in the race to sign Kounde and de Ligt. If the club manage to sign them they will be guaranteed starters in the back 3 along with the veteran Brazilian.

Midfielders: Reece James, Pellegrini, Mount, Richarlison

Reece James had an outstanding last season in Chelsea colours and he will start in the right midfield position. Mason Mount’s talent and on the ball abilities will make hima guaranteed starter. However, Chelsea are in reports to sign Lorenzo Pellegrini, valued over £50m. The like of Richarlison are also in talks at the club.

Forwards: Sterling, Havertz, Dembele

Raheem Sterling might exit the blue side of Manchester ahead of the upcoming season. Now, Chelsea are the favourites to land him. Kai Havertz can take up the false nine role in Tuchel’s setup. Whereas another rumoured player, Ousmane Dembele in in Chelsea’s radar as well. He can take up the left wing position.
