Hull City vs Fulham: Match preview, team news and predicted line-up

Fulham will be looking to continue their unbeaten run as they face Hull City away at the MKM Stadium in the Championship. The two teams last met in the reverse fixture at Craven Cottage in August of last year. Fulham won the game 2-0, thanks to first-half goals from Mitrovic and Carvalho.

Recently appointed manager Shota Arveladze started his Hull City journey quite positively with a win against Swansea City. Hull City failed to build on that as they followed that win with back-to-back losses to Preston and Derby County.

Their loss against Derby puts them 19th on the table with 32 points. They are 12 points clear of Peterborough in the relegation place.

The visitors, on the other hand, are enjoying a good run of form at the top of the table. Marco Silva’s side are unbeaten in their last six games and leading the charge for a Premier League promotion.

They eased past Millwall in their last game with a 3-0 win. Mitrovic scored two goals in either half and Bobby Reid’s late goal sealed the three points for the Cottagers. This win put them 8 points clear at the top of the table, but Bournemouth‘s win means they are now 6 points clear at the top of the table. With 61 points in 29 games, they are now the favorites to win the league.

Mitrovic’s second goal against Millwall was his 30th goal in the league. The Serbian is enjoying an excellent season as he tops the goal-scoring charts. He will certainly be a man to watch out for in the fixture.

Hull City vs Fulham: Team news

Hull City

Joshua Emmanuel and Mallik Wilks will both sit this one out due to injuries. Andy Cannon has returned to training after his injury but is unlikely to start.

Tom Huddlestone and Richard Smallwood could come into the midfield for the Tigers. Manager Shota Arveladze could make some changes to the starting line-up depending on the formation he selects.

Possible Hull City starting line-up

Ingram; Greaves, McLoughlin, Bernard; Longman, Docherty, Smallwood, Fleming; Honeyman; Eaves, Keane Lewis-Potter

Fulham

Marco Silva will be without the services of Terence Kongolo and Kenny Tete who miss out due to injuries. Barring any other injury concerns, Fulham will field a similar starting XI as they did against Millwall.

Possible Fulham starting line-up

Rodak; Williams, Adarabioyo, Ream, Robinson; Chalobah, Cairney; Wilson, Carvalho, Kebano; Mitrovic

Our prediction

Hull City 0-2 Fulham

The league leaders are strong favorites coming into this game. They have dominated this fixture recently losing only 1 game against Hull City in their last six meetings. They are in brilliant form with Mitrovic scoring at will.

Hull City have struggled to get goals this season. Only bottom of the table Barnsley have scored lesser goals than them. To add to that Fulham have the best points per game record on the road.

This should be a comfortable win for Fulham.
