‘I want to be good while bowling with the new and old ball,’ says Arshdeep Singh

India is performing well and are on the verge of getting selected for the semi-finals. The team had many positives in the tournament like SKY and Virat’s form and the bowling department making its impact in every match. India is bowling really well with the new ball. A young talent has emerged ie Arshdeep who is currently the highest wicket taken in the t20 world cup 2022. He picks up wickets both from starting overs as well as death overs. He wants to be good while bowling with the new and old balls.

His statement :

“My focus was always on consistency. You cannot afford to give too many loose balls at the international level. I want to be good while bowling with the new ball and with the old ball. I want to pick wickets or control runs as per the need.”

India always wanted a such bowler. He is a left-hander pacer who can target yorkers too and can swing the ball both ways during initial overs. He gives a large impact on the team. India gained confidence in him and is used during the crucial overs. Although in some matches he leaked some runs but he comebacks early which is a positive sign.
