INDIA BEATING SRI LANKA TO CLINCH THEIR 8TH TITLE
Indian team swept the victory off Sri Lanka, assembling their 8th Asia Cup title. Indian pace attack didn’t even give some space to the Sri Lankan cricketers to build a partnership. Mohammed Siraj took six wickets, giving away 21 runs in seven overs. Followed by the other two pacers, Jasprit Bumrah and Hardik Pandya, as supporting Sri Lanka could just set a target of 51 runs. While Jasprit Bumrah took one wicket, Hardik Pandya took three wickets.
Reacting to the win of India beating Sri Lanka, Pakistan’s OG Pacer Shoaib Akhtar voiced his thoughts. He started by praising the skipper Rohit Sharma’s captaincy. In addition, the expert also heaped praise on the team management. He also expressed his astonishment over India’s win in such a way. Lastly, he also declared India as one of the most dangerous sides in the upcoming World Cup.
Akhtar on his YouTube channel stated
“Rohit Sharma’s captaincy has improved. He and the team management have been making great decisions. I did not imagine India beating Sri Lanka in this manner. From here on, India could be the most dangerous side in the World Cup, but I am not writing anybody off because teams from the sub-continent are formidable”
He further added
“Good job Siraj, you helped India win. And you did a great job by giving away your prize money to the ground staff. India will be going into the World Cup after boosting their confidence. India started as underdogs, but now I feel that it is not only a worry for Pakistan, but a worry for many other countries. India have announced their arrival in the World Cup because they have all the boxes ticked”
