India defeated Australia: Nagpur Test
On Saturday, India defeated Australia by an inning and 132 runs in the first test match in Nagpur. Australia managed to get only 91 in their second innings. They were bowled out in just one session.
Kangaroos were trailing behind 223 runs when came to bat in the second innings. They needed to bat out of their skin to put some fight against the hosts.
Australian openers Warner and Khawaja added just 7 runs for 1st wicket. Ashwin got the first wicket of the innings.
The no. 1 batter disappoints too
Then came Marnus Labuschagne for the rescue once again. However, he failed this time and departed for just 17 runs and was removed by Jadeja.
Kohli dropped a sitter
Warner edged the ball to the first slip and was eventually dropped by Kohli, who is not having a great time at slips.
He couldn’t take advantage of it and was found plumb by Ashwin.
Ashwin was having a great time. He removed Matt Renshaw and Peter Handscomb in quick succession for just 2 & 6 respectively.
He secured his 31st five-wicket haul by dismissing Australia’s wicketkeeper Alex Carey for just 10 runs.
Indian bowlers removed the opposition’s tail quickly too. Australian captain Pat Cummins also departed early for just 1 by Jadeja.
Axar got the debutant
Axar Patel got his first wicket of the match by dismissing Tod Murphy.
Shami got the final two wickets by dismissing Lyon and Boland and Australia bowled out for 91.
Steve Smith remained not out for 25 at the other end. He couldn’t get any help from the rest of the Aussie batters.
India defeated Australia in Nagpur Test and Ravindra Jadeja got man of the match for his splendid performance.
