Pakistan’s former captain Salman Butt believes India will miss the magic of phenomenon pacer Jasprit Bumrah at the following 2022 Asian Cup. BCCI released the list of India’s 15-man squad and announced that Jasprit Bumrah had stayed out of the team due to injury.

BCCI stated,

“Jasprit Bumrah and Harshal Patel were not available for selection owing to injuries. They are currently undergoing rehab at the NCA in Bengaluru,”

A senior BCCI official gave a statement,

“Jasprit Bumrah has a back injury and will not play in the Asia Cup. He is our main bowler and we would like him to be back in action before T20 World Cup. We can’t risk him in Asia Cup and the injury could aggravate,”

Salman Butt talked about the accuracy of Jasprit Bumrah and his bowling and especially in those economic wicket-talking yorkers in the death overs. Considering these facts, Salman Butt and cricket fans feel that Bumrah’s absence can affect the overall team’s performance.

“India have given a lot of exposure to their young pacers. They are all quite young, but not new to international cricket. They have been playing a lot of cricket and will be high on confidence. While Jasprit Bumrah is the best of them all, the rest are also not very new to the scene,”

He added.
