Jadeja Blunt’s reaction, ‘I feel for Rohit Sharma’ to India’s loss in 1st t20i

Cricket

India is currently playing home series against Australia. India will play 3t20i against the Aussies. The first match was in Mohali where India could not defend a large total and eventually lost the match. We have to keep in notice that India is playing with their final squad and this series is going to be a rehearsal before the world cup. India will surely look for a possible winning combination and players are also expecting to get their lost form if any. Bowlers especially will be targeted after the disappointing campaign in Asia Cup 2022. With the first loss against the Aussies in Mohali, former Indian cricketer Ajay Jadeja reacted bluntly. He feels for Rohit Sharma.

Former Cricketer Ajay Jadeja’s reaction on India’s loss

Ajay Jadeja’s statement:

I am trying to think of a situation where India had a chance, except for when Axar Patel was bowling. And he also didn’t bowl at a stretch. Except for those overs, there was no problem that Australia had. They didn’t even have to take any chances. India carried on with the plans that they had when they took those wickets and it just didn’t work. It’s really difficult to figure out where did we go wrong because throughout that innings, we went wrong. There is no one stage I can pick and say something could have been done differently. At the start maybe I would have pointed out bowling Axar Patel (as the problem) because the ball was seaming but he ended up with the best figures. He looked like he was playing a different game to the others. Chahal has had a few games where things haven’t gone his way. I feel for Rohit Sharma, everything he did was right but Australia had an answer for everything. “

Ajay Jadeja expressed that he felt for Rohit Sharma. The bowlers did not complete their job. They were leaking runs every over and were also getting wicketless. Scoring boundaries were easy. Skipper did try different bowlers at different situations and ends but still, bowlers were not economical. There were misfielding and dropping of catches too. Axar Patel looked promising but the skipper could not use him properly. Skipper tried every possible but Aussies were good in every department.
