Jakub Kiwior featured in the Arsenal U-21 match against Chelsea

Jakub Kiwior and Emile Smith Rowe both featured in the Arsenal U-21 match against Chelsea. Arsenal lost the match 1-0 to Chelsea. However, there was a lot of positive to take from the match. Both Jakub Kiwior and Smith Rowe played 45 minutes of the match. This gave them some game time before they joined the first team back. Jakub Kiwior received his first debut for Arsenal in the match since arriving in January. The centre-back have managed to impress with his distribution in the match. The player looked like an experienced player on the ball. While Smith Rowe on the other hand was very lively on his return to the team. The player was injured for the better part of the season. This was his first appearance since his return from injury. Both the player were withdrawn at half-time after they put on a strong shift.

Jakub Kiwior impressed Arsenal fans with the performance

The January signing was particularly impressive in the match. He impressed the supporters with his long-range pass and composure on the ball. Even Mikel Arteta was impressed with the players display. While speaking to the media ahead of the match against Everton, Arteta revealed he was impressed with both Jakub Kiwior and Smith Rowe. The manager replied when asked about the duo,

“Really good. Obviously, they needed some minutes and at the moment they haven’t had much exposure for different situations. It was great to see them on the field because we’re going to need them in the next couple of games.”

Jakub Kiwior could feature in the match against Everton as he was withdrawn from the Chelsea match at halftime.

Arsenal are facing Everton for their game in hand tomorrow at Emirates stadium. The Gunners could extend their advantage at the top of the league table if they manage to win the match. Jakub Kiwior could start in the match as fresh legs. Arteta could look to rotate his team selection in the competition with fresh legs being available.
