Jesse Lingard has suffered at Old Trafford with a lack of game-time. The Manchester United manager has relatively frozen him out from the squad since the arrival of Bruno Fernandes last summer.

The Hammer’s manager David Moyes stressed that Lingard could be a priority signing at the end of last season. The 28-year-old would be West Ham’s, main man. Moving to West Ham permanently would give him a real chance to show England boss Gareth Southgate what he can do leading up to the World Cup in 2022.

Moyes has since signed a new three-year deal with the club and looks set to prioritise Lingard’s transfer in this window. West Ham are also heavily linked with Chelsea’s Tammy Abraham after the Blues reportedly reduced his asking price. Both those signings will significantly boost West Ham’s quality for next season.

With a year left on his current contract, Manchester United certainly could cash in on a player they deem unwanted. Additionally, the signing of Jadon Sancho confirms Lingard’s out-of-favor status at Old Trafford.

According to Claret and Hugh Manchester United have given Jesse Lingard a two-week deadline to decide whether or not he wants to commit his future to the club amidst heavy links with a permanent move to West Ham United.

With the addition of Jesse Lingard can West Ham finish in the top four?
