Arsenal and Manchester United have both reportedly held talks with the representatives of Joao Felix. Although it seems that Manchester United are in front to sign Joao Felix. But Arsenal are also giving it a good go as things stand. Arsenal have already lost Gabriel Jesus due to an injury. They would want to bolster up their attack this January transfer window. Atletico Madrid have already made things clear that they would be open to listening to offers for the player. However, it is guaranteed that they won’t let the Portuguese go for a cheap offer. The World Cup have helped to increase the player’s value which was somewhat dwindling due to his performance at the club.

Representatives of Joao Felix in talks with different European clubs

The 23-year-old have fallen out of favor with Atletico Madrid since before the World Cup. He haven’t started a single game for the La Liga side since September. Hence there is no surprise that Joao Felix is now linked with several different clubs during this transfer window. Manchester United wants to sign Felix as a replacement for Cristiano Ronaldo. While Arsenal are also seeking new attacking players after Gabriel Jesus’ injury. Transfer guru Fabrizio Romano have commented,

“Both Arsenal and Manchester United have had discussions with Jorge Mendes about Joao Felix, also Chelsea and Aston Villa have been approached.”

He further continued,

“They are informed on conditions of the deal, but still waiting to understand final decision by Atletico Madrid on potential loan as they always asked for €100m fee. I’m told this week there will be new talks to find a way for Joao Felix.”

Joao Felix have also gained interest from Chelsea. News outlets claim Felix could join the Blues on a loan deal in January. The Blues are considering a loan deal with a buy obligation in the summer. Chelsea has the lowest goal scored in the top half of the Premier League table. The Blues will be very willing to sign a player rated as highly as the Portuguese.
