Root Will Play In IPL 2022

Joe has expressed his desire to be in for IPL next year. Though, previously he also wanted to play in 2020. But he opted his name out from the auction. So, it would be interesting to see him play when he gets his chance to play in the most difficult cricket tournament in the world.

Although, Joe Root isn’t a T20 specialist. Thus he’s not even a part of T20 world cup 2021 squad. The 30-year-old cricketer has played his last T20 in 2019. He’s most responsible for the test matches as of now and he’s preparing for the upcoming Ashes series in Australia. Root has been missing his presence in T20 because of the workload from the ODI and Test matches.

He often opts out his name out of T20 matches and the reason he gives is that he doesn’t feel he could throw his all energy into the game which the game deserves.
