Declan Rice wants to join Arsenal in the summer, but the new £120m pricetag attached to the midfielder has complicated things, as per Dean Jones.

As per Ranks FC Podcast, Dean Jones has given update and stated that he’s spoken to people related to Declan Rice. The West Ham midfielder is eager to join Arsenal this summer.

However, SkySports reported that Hammers want £120m for Rice. Jones now casts doubts over this move as he can’t see Gunners spending that much on one player this summer.

Current Premier League Standings

Jones further stated about Rice :-

“I know, and I know a few people that know Declan Rice very well and his first pick all season, his priority has been Arsenal, that is true. Arsenal really want Declan Rice. But I don’t think Arsenal would pay £120m on Declan Rice. Arsenal aren’t going to spend that are they? And I don’t think they have the players to offer in the other direction, that is a twist.”

Rice really want to join Arsenal, but it will really be difficult to get the deal done if West Ham United doesn’t negotiate the price. £120m is quite a expensive demand for a player who hasn’t played Champions League so far.

It will be intresting to see wheather West Ham can find a buyer at that sort of price. But, if they can’t, they have to lower their demand and then Arsenal have a chance to sign him.

Rice wants to play in the Champions League and he will definitely leave West Ham in the summer.
