Jonny Bairstow Reveals ‘Freak Accident’ That Has Ruled Him Out Of T20 World Cup

The eighth edition of the T20 world cup is around the corner. All the participating teams are focusing to better themselves in the upcoming mega event. Many bilateral t20 series are going around in many cricketing nations. Recently we wrapped up Asia Cup 2022. England is going to play against Pakistan and Australia before participating in the T20 world cup. But before this mega event, Jonny Bairstow got ruled out of the t20 world cup. He revealed ” the freak accident ” which made him unavailable for the tournament.

English Cricket Board Statement:

” England and Yorkshire batter Jonathan Bairstow has been ruled out of the rest of the summer and the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup.”

Bairstow posted on Instagram that he is unavailable from all matches and tours with immediate effect. He mentioned that he slipped off the golf course that morning. So he had a lower leg injury and had to undergo an operation for treatment.

It is a massive blow for England Cricket Team. Bairstow has been a promising player and his experience will definitely would have helped the team on such a bigger stage. Moreover, he was a wicketkeeper-batsman who also plays explosively. It was the most suited format for him.
