Borussia Dortmund‘s midfielder Jude Bellingham continues to be linked with clubs before the World Cup, Arsenal is reportedly one of them. The England international is the new upcoming star and many big clubs in Europe have shown interest in him. Clubs like Manchester City, Chelsea, and Real Madrid have all queued up for the player. It seems like Arsenal is the new club that seems interested in the midfielder. With Mikel Arteta’s team doing so well this season, the Emirates could likely be the English man’s next destination.
Arsenal to try and sign Jude Bellingham
The transfer rumors have surrounded Jude Bellingham even before his contract at Borussia Dortmund has expired. This transfer window is going to be vital for the Gunners as they look to sign a new midfielder and an attacking option. Mikel Arteta was asked if the squad depth was a problem,
“It is short, and we have used players like, for example, Marquinhos, who we had other plans, but he has been an important player and a player who has the capacity. We have had injuries as well.”
He further continued,
“Mo [Elneny] has been out for three months, Thomas [Partey] was out for a period, and we had Alex [Zinchenko] out for a long time too. We have had to adapt, and we are willing to do that. The demands are going to be really big for everybody, and we have to be ready for that.”
It is clear from his comments that he would want a new midfielder in his team. Bellingham would be a perfect addition to this Arsenal team. Bellingham’s representatives are reportedly demanding a ‘concrete offer‘ from all these top clubs as reported by Sport Bild. The young player is set to decide about his future after the Qatar World Cup.
