Tottenham Hotspur have agreed on a deal with Jude Soonsup-Bell. Manchester City was also interested in signing Jude Soonsup-Bell. But the player chose Tottenham over Manchester City. The youngster is a high-rated player at Stamford Bridge. Even Chelsea have been keen on keeping him at Stamford Bridge on a long-term deal. However, the player was reluctant to sign a long-term deal with Chelsea. This offered a perfect opportunity for Manchester City to try and sign him. But now reports claim that Jude Soonsup-Bell have agreed on a deal with Tottenham over Manchester City. They have agreed on a desirable fee for the player.

The striker will go to Spurs’ U-21 squad. Spurs would be hoping that the player will bolster their U-21 squad. Jude Soonsup-Bell will be there in the U-21 squad for about 18 months before joining the first team. The Blues are fearing that their vast spending this transfer window might affect their players. The youngsters might feel that their path to the first team is now blocked. The Blues have signed many forward players this transfer window. Furthermore, Chelsea have spent close to £200m this transfer window. They have spent more than they did last summer. This might be one of the reasons why the youngster have chosen to leave.

Chelsea wanted the player to play for them for a long time. But Jude Soonsup-Bell might have felt that his place in the first team is not guaranteed. Therefore he have opted to go to another club that guarantees him a place in the starting lineup. His current deal with Chelsea ends by the end of this season. And they were unable to offer him the deal that he desired. Hence he have now agreed to join the Blues’ London rivals Tottenham.
