Former Arsenal striker Kevin Campbell wants Newcastle to sign Chelsea legend Eden Hazard in January. Newcastle and Aston Villa are reportedly ready to battle for the Belgium International in the summer. Both are set to make a £17million offer.

According to reports from Football Insider, The former Chelsea star doesn’t include in the plans of Real Madrid manager Carlos Ancelotti. The Spanish giant could send Hazard on loan with an obligatory clause to buy for £17million.

Hazard worth risking the right amount says, Campbell

Campbell thinks that Hazard still can provide to the team and he is worth risking the right amount. He said ( from Football Insider report):

“The thing is, Hazard’s injury record is not much better than Allan Saint-Maximin’s. We all know what Hazard can do.

“If he could rekindle even a quarter of his best he will be devastating for somebody.”

“We have to remember that he carried Chelsea for a few years. Yes, he is not the same player now but he can still deliver.”

“Newcastle would be a good option. I think he would be a great signing for them at £17million.

“How much is left in the tank? He has had a lot of injuries so I’m not sure. It might be worth the risk though.”

Eden Hazard has only played 229 minutes of football this season which clearly shows that he’s not in the plans of Real Madrid. The winger has suffered many injuries over his course at Real Madrid and is often considered a “Major Flop”.

Hazard has only made 72 appearances for the Spanish champions having scored just seven goals and providing 11 assists.
