Kiren Tierney

Kieran Tierney was not seen in the Arsenal training ahead of their Europa League match. Charles Watts discussed about the absentees in the Arsenal training. Furthermore the likes of Leandro Trossard and Eddie Nketiah missed the training. The players continue to suffer from a groin and ankle energy respectively. But there was another player who was notably absent from the training. Kieran Tierney missed the Arsenal training session. Furthermore the journalist was no sure as to why Kieran Tierney was missing from the training. However now it has been confirmed that the player missed the training due to an illness. Tierney’s been suffering from injuries for last few seasons now. And it quite his luck to fall ill just before a game.

Kieran Tierney to miss out the next Arsenal match due to an illness

The journalist shared why the player missed the recent Arsenal training. Watts shared, “A few absentees. No Kieran Tierney, I’m not sure why yet. No Trossard and no Nketiah, two players we know are suffering from injuries at the moment, Nketiah with an ankle problem and Trossard with a groin problem he picked up against Bournemouth at the weekend. It doesn’t sound like that’s the worst injury, so hopefully he’ll be back soon, but you’re not going to take any risks ahead of the game on Thursday night,” He further continued, “A little bit more of an update that we’ve got. Kieran Tierney wasn’t involved in training today and he won’t be flying with the squad. It’s not due to injury, it’s due to illness I’m told. It’s a blow to him because this is a game we expected Tierney would have started.”

The player would have been important in the Europa League match. Furthermore the Gunners always look to rotate their bench for these kinds of matches. Therefore Kieran Tierney could have made a start in the game. But now it seems very unlikely to happen as the player is down with an illness.
