Jacub Kiwior has sparked debate as Mikel Arteta’s gets criticised due to poor team selection. Arsenal slips down in the title race in last few matches.

After a short bad patch of form, Arsenal find themselves back to winning ways after back to back victories against Chelsea and Newcastle United. Jorginho and Jacub Kiwior were two constants in both the games who were previously missing when Gunners dropped points.

Kiwior came in for Rob Holding as due to criticism from fans. His presence created dynamic imbalance on the Arsenal play.

However, Kiwior has shown much more composure than Holding. His distribution and progression on the ball also outranks the English defense.

Kiwior’s inclusion has caught a debate wheather Arteta should therefore started him sooner and perhaps outcomes of the games in which they drop points might have been different. His performance make it clear that Arsenal would have had a better chance.

Arsenal would have been more likely to take maximum points, if Kiwior started in Holding’s place. But criticising Arteta for this reason is quite harsh.

But initially Kiwior was criticised and many raised the question why the player was bought at all. He also had a bad substitute apperance against Liverpool. So anyone can hardly blame Arteta for throwing in the Polish defender sooner.

Kiwior should in place of William Saliba and Holding should find his next step far away from Arsenal in the summer — which will be beneficial for both club and the player. Arteta will look to reconstruct his plans to end the season on a high note. Gunners will look to fight for the Premier League Title till the very end.
