Jurgen Klopp has praised ‘super’ Arsenal but insists Liverpool are more than ready for them in the Premier League this weekend. He says they are ready to beat the title leaders.
Arsenal will try and maintain their impressive form on Sunday as they head to Anfield to face a Liverpool team. They are struggling to hold their ground this season.
Having struggled for the quadruple for the 1st time in its history last year. Liverpool failed to reach the heights of this season and dropped to eighth place with only 12 wins in 28 league games.
Klopp still remains confident that Liverpool can get the job done vs Arsenal
Klopp hopes that Liverpool’s draw at Stamford Bridge was a ‘small step’ in the right direction. He wishes that his team can build on the display. He further went on to say,
“But we are there, it is a home game and our home record is not as bad as the away record. It means I am really looking forward to this game now because tonight I saw a step and that’s what I wanted.”
“Now let’s carry on. Anfield is waiting for us and we want to deliver. We have another 10 games to play and the next one is Arsenal. Not the other nine, I am not interested in [those games].“
“But the next one is Arsenal, so if we are difficult to beat against Arsenal we can win this game. If not, Arsenal will just go over us and then we will see.“
“With one point, the steps, how I said, are not massive. If you win a football game, all of a sudden three points for one game; wow, things can look different.”
This would be the first time Arsenal will feel confident going int Anfield for the first time in many years.
