Comeback of Kohli to play a vital role in T-20 WC
Till now, Kohli played his last international game against England. It was the third ODI played on July 17. He wasn’t with the men in blue from the West Indies tour. However, an expectation was there that the star batter might comeback in the three-match ODI series against Zimbabwe. Nonetheless, his name wasn’t there in 15-men squad.
However, Kohli had already started preparing for the Asia Cup from the last week. He posted his training session’s video. He was wearing a Man City jersey and was sprinting in between the wickets . It was in an indoor training facility.
Moreover, the Asia Cup will play a very significant role for Kohli. It has been two years that Kohli hasn’t reached the 100 run mark. The last time he hit a century was at Eden Gardens. It was in 2019 Pink Ball Test, against Bangladesh,. Former cricketers and experts have been suggesting to drop Kohli from India’s T20 World Cup squad.
However, Indian Men’s team will be depending hugely on Kohli. India needs his comeback, as it is indeed a vital factor behind successfully retaining the Asia Cup title.
Not only, other than Virat Kohli, but KL Rahul also must to perform. That bloke has been nowhere for nearly six months before being the captain against Zimbabwe.
